IOC president calls Olympic Flame inspiration for Russians

Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, said that the Olympic Torch Relay was a source of inspiration for Russians, ITAR-TASS reports.

Bach recalled his visit to Ancient Olympia to light the Flame on September 29. He called it a special emotional moment that Russia will feel lighting the Flame at the Sochi Olympic Stadium.

The IOC president expressed hope that a more balanced procedure for participation in the Olympic Games will be formed by the end of 2014.
