French prosecutor refuses extradition of Georgian ex-defense minister

Georgian ex-Defense Minister David Kezerashvili’s lawyer, Shota Mindeli, said that the French prosecutor spoke out against extradition of the official in his closing remarks, Georgia Online reports.

The court will announce its decision on February 27.

At the same time, the court is considering releasing Kezerashvili on bail. Whether the ex-minister will be bailed out or not will be announced on February 3. Mindeli noted that there were no serious reasons for the detention of his client.
