Georgian consulate official to visit Sochi

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said that an official from its consulate section at the Swiss Embassy will visit Sochi, Georgia Online reports.

The deputy minister reiterated that it had been a tough decision to send athletes to Sochi when 20% of the Georgian territory was occupied. The Ministry for Sports will hold a meeting with the Georgian delegation.

Russia assured Georgia that all the necessary security measures will be taken. According to Zalkaliani the consulate official will work 24/7 in Sochi.
