Azerbaijan to index pensions for 95% of pensioners

The Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund (DSMF) will spend 21.6 million manats to index pensions for 95% of pensioners (1,212,000 people). The remaining 5% are functionaries and other categories whose pensions are regulated under other rules, abc.az reports.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev ordered pensions to be adjusted according to consumer prices of January 1, 2013. The consumer prices grew by 2.4% in 2013.
