UN and Syrian authorities agree to the evacuate civilian population of Homs

The Syrian authorities and the UN agreed on the evacuation of the civilian population from the old part of Homs , said the governor of the province .

Government troops in the historic city lead an operation against militants entrenched there , RIA Novosti reported.

Agreement on the delivery of humanitarian assistance in Homs, as reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry, had been achieved earlier.
