Russian FM and US Secretary of State discuss Syrian crisis

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed the ongoing Syrian crisis in a phone conversation today. The conversation was held at the initiative of the US official two days before the next round of the Syrian opposition's talks with representatives of the Assad regime.

According to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties also discussed several issues concerning bilateral relations.
