FIS to decide on appeal of Cross Country Ski Federation of Russia

The International Ski Federation (FIS) will decide whether to accept or decline the appeal of the Cross Country Ski Federation of Russia by February 12, Interfax reports.

Russia is appealing the fourth position of Maksim Vylegzhanin in skiathlon at the Olympic Games in Sochi.

Martin Sundby (Norway) prevented the Russian skier from winning bronze in the 30-kilometer skiathlon. An appeal was filed. Sundby was handed a written warning note for his actions, the results were left without changes.
