Putin notes the success of Russian diplomats in Iran and Syria

A key task of Russian diplomacy is to create favorable conditions for the sustainable growth of the national economy and improving people's
living standards, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in a congratulatory message sent to employees and veterans of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the occasion of Diplomat Day today. The text of the greeting  was read by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"In the history of our diplomacy there are many vivid, memorable events and famous names," says Putin. The country is rightfully proud of the best
representatives of the foreign service, their professional achievements and contribution to national interests. Based on the traditions of their predecessors, given the current realities, you aspire to effective solutions of the most difficult and important tasks," ITAR-TASS quotes him.

"Thanks to your efforts, major successes have been achieved in the sphere of foreign policy," the President says in his message. "You have succeeded in making progress on key issues on the international agenda, including the Syrian and Iranian direction."

According to Putin, "the Eurasian integration process is gaining momentum, strengthening our constructive cooperation with many foreign partners." "Russia's Presidency of the "Group of Eight " this year is aimed at the unification of the efforts in dealing with global challenges and threats," emphasizes the head of the Russian state.

Putin stresses that "the key task of Russian diplomacy is to create favorable conditions for sustainable growth of the national economy, improving the lives of our people." " It should vigorously support Russian companies and businesses operating in foreign markets, promote the implementation of major investment projects to protect the rights and interests of our citizens and compatriots abroad," he calls.

"Of course, demanding a lot, the country's leadership will continue to take measures to improve the financial and resource support of the diplomatic service, to solve issues relating to the working and living conditions of the employees," assures the Russian president. He also expresses confidence that Russian diplomats will continue to "work with full dedication for the good of the fatherland."
