3-day cease-fire declared in Homs

Valeri Amos, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, has praised the 3-day cease-fire declaration made by the Syrian government and opposition in Homs on Friday, Interfax reports.She expressed hope that the time was used efficiently to evacuate people from the area and deliver humanitarian aid. Over 400 women, children and elderly people were evacuated.
