Russia's chief rabbi supports Jews at Sochi Olympics

Russia's chief rabbi Berl Lazar says Jews who take part in the Sochi Olympics should have a chance to fully observe their religious laws. The rabbi welcomes the decision to establish a synagogue in the Olympic Village. 

 

According to Berl Lazar, it's very important to show that the Russian state respects the rights of believers who belong to different confessions.
