Turkey and Georgia discuss cooperation in customs sector

Turkish Ambassador Zeki Levent and Georgian Minister for Finances Nodar Khoduri have discussed priority aspects of bilateral cooperation, Trend reports.

The sides discussed intensification of Georgian-Turkish trade-economic relations, transportation, development of efficient mechanisms to manage customs offices.

Turkey started construction of the Cildir/Aktas Customs Office in November 2013. Georgia will conclude reconstruction of the Kartsakhi Customs Office in August 2014. Turkey plans to expand infrastructure at the Sarpi Customs Office.
