Russia wins sixth gold medal

Snowboarder Vic Wild has won the gold for Russia in parallel giant slalom. It has become the sixth Russian gold medal, RIA Novosti reports.

Vic Wild was initially part of the US team. He met Russian snowboarder Alena Zavarzina and married her. He received Russian citizenship and joined the Russian team.

Nevin Galmarini (Switzerland) took silver, Zan Kosir (Slovenia) took bronze.
