Georgia and EU discuss energy cooperation

Tbilisi has hosted a meeting between the INOGATE (international energy co-operation programme between the EU, Baltic and Caspian states) and the Georgian Energy Ministry, Trend reports.Attendants of the talks have discussed bilateral cooperation, transformations and reforms on the energy market, standards of the gas and energy sectors, development and reconstruction of gas networks in Georgia, usage of renewable energy sources.The INOGATE program was launched by the European Commission in 1999. It focuses on realization of energy projects under technical assistance of the EU and energy cooperation.
