Putin sends ombudsman Lukin to Kiev as mediator

The press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, said the Russian leader has sent ombudsman Vladimir Lukin to Kiev at the request of the president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych. Lukin will become a mediator in the negotiations with the opposition, RIA Novosti reports.
