Russian sports minister calls Sotnikova’s win fair

Russian Minister for Sports Vitaly Mutko said that foreign press was accusing Russian figure skier Adelina Sotnikova of fixed skating with Americans. He emphasized that the competition was hard and the winner was unpredictable, Championat.com reports.

Mutko said that performances of Carolina Kostner (Italy), Kim Yu-na (Korea), Ashley Wagner (US), Mao Asada (Japan) made “fantastic performances.”
