2014 Winter Olympics end in Sochi

The official closing ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympic games is being held in the Russian city of Sochi. The Russian team has came first this time, winning 13 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals.

The success of the Russian team has been stressed by the head of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach.

"I have to underlined the remarkable progress achieved by Russian athletes within the last several years," Bach is quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
