Opposition takes over Kharkov regional administration

Thousands of protesters have occupied the Kharkov regional administration in Ukraine. There were thousands of backers of the administration last night. None can be seen now. The nearby road is blocked, ITAR-TASS reports.

Opposition organized a medical aid post and an improvised canteen on the first floor. Leaders of the Kharkov protests occupy the second floor.

Governor Mikhail Dobkin is expected to arrive to his office. He has a meeting with journalists planned at 11.00AM (local time).

Kharkov Mayor Gennady Kernes was not allowed to enter his office yesterday. Dobkin and Kernes assured that they will not resign.
