Lenin statue knocked down in Crimea

Andrey Lakhin, Mayor of Zuya (Belogorsky District), said that unidentified vandals knocked a monument of Lenin down at about 3.00AM. The monument broke, RIA Novosti reports.

Locals will organize protests against the act at 11.00AM.

Monuments of Lenin and other communist activists have been vandalized in several Ukrainian cities during the past 3 months of protests. The most outrageous act was the incident of December 1, 2013, when a monument of Lenin was knocked down at the Kiev center.
