Gernot Erler: "Russia is a major economic partner of Germany"

The coordinator of German-Russian cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, the Bundestag deputy Gernot Erler, believes that the issue of security in Europe can be solved together with Russia and not against it. The politician said that he regards the attempt to settle the Transdnistrian conflict undertaken during the presidency of Dmitry Medvedev as a good example of cooperation between Russia and the EU.
