Albir Krganov: religion is not a tool for solving political problems

Religion cannot change its values in favor of different political views, the Mufti of Moscow, of the Central region and Chuvashia at the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, Albir Krganov told Vestnik Kavkaza.
Krganov said that religious leaders are concerned that there are attempts to involve religions in solving political problems. "Our denominations have very clearly defined that we are apolitical in Russia, we are not involved in any political battles or problem solving," Krganov said.
According to Albir Krganov, religion is an eternal blessing given by God, it is immutable and cannot change its values in favor of political views.
Albir Krganov also talked about the history of Russia and said that the only form in which Russia will exist in the future is a multinational state in which every religion and ethnic group preserves its identity and respects the identity of others.
