Sergey Kuprianov, a representative of Gazprom, says that the volume of gas exports to Turkey has been increased and is now 42 million cubic meters a day, reports Interfax.
This increase is connected with the explosion on the Turkey-Iran pipeline and the problems it caused.
After the explosion the amount was increased to 37 million cubic meters. Now it has risen again. The amount of gas in the pipes has increased generally during the last period, which shows that the Turkish economy is leaving the crisis behind it. Since the start of the pipeline in 2003, 50 billion cubic metres of gas have been transported through it.
