Iran to develop economic cooperation with India

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi that Iran and India will develop cooperation in the oil and banking sectors, Trend reports.

The minister will have talks with Indian officials within the framework of his two-day visit. He noted the need to work on regional and global issues. Zarif pointed out that extremism, terrorism and the future of Afghanistan were the priority issues for discussions.

Marzieh Afkham, spokeswoman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, said that the minister will discuss India’s payments for Iranian oil, energy and transit problems.
