Crimea to hold referendum

The Supreme Council of the Crimea will hold a referendum to decide what status and authority the autonomy should have, said Oksana Krniychuk, spokeswoman of the speaker of the Crimean parliament, ITAR-TASS reports.

She reminded that the clash at the Crimean parliament yesterday caused bloodshed and was a result of extremism and violence all over the country. The referendum is the only solution based on democratic principles to determine the future of the autonomy, according to Korniychuk.
