Didier Burkhalter, Swiss President, Head of the Foreign Department and Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, has expressed concerns over the situation in the Crimean Autonomous Republic, ITAR-TASS reports.

He urged all sides of conflict to be responsible and careful in the situation and refrain from violence.

Burkhalter noted that Tim Guldimann, Swiss Ambassador and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office in Ukraine, and Astrid Thors, OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities, will soon visit the Crimea. They will help normalize the situation in the autonomy.
