Russian observers to monitor referendum in Crimea

Russian observers will arrive in Crimea on March 30 to observe the referendum on the status of the republic. The monitoring mission will be organized within the framework of the Federation Council commission for monitoring the situation in Ukraine, Interfax reports.The commission was formed by senators from regions bordering with Ukraine. Mikhail Margelov, Head of the Federation Council Committee for International Affairs, said that a group of experts specializing in Ukraine, Crimea and Sevastopol will be formed. The commission will make legitimate decisions to normalize the situation in Ukraine.
