Abkhazia supports Russia in stabilizing the situation in Ukraine

Abkhazia expressed support for Russia's efforts to stabilize the political situation in Ukraine and the conservation  of peace and tranquility in the country. This is stated in a message from the speaker of the Parliament of Abkhazia Valery Bganba to the chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko and the chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin.

"Valery Bganba expressed his conviction that the decision of the Russian leadership to ensure the safety of Russian citizens and compatriots living in Ukraine will contribute to political and socioeconomic stability, interethnic harmony, respect for human rights and freedoms throughout Ukraine and in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea," ITAR -TASS reports. referring to the press service of the Abkhazian parliament .

Valery Bganba sent a message to the chairman of the Supreme Council of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov. The speaker expressed his "full support for the leadership and the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, who make every effort to preserve the Crimea's political and economic stability, prevent violence and extremism, maintaining inter-ethnic harmony."

"The multinational peoples of the Republic of Abkhazia know the value of a peaceful life, thus it is fully concerned with the dramatic events taking place in Ukraine and in particular Crimea," the message stresses.
