Ukrainian representative exculpates nationalists

Ukrainian Representative to the UN Yuri Sergeyev said that accusations the USSR presented at the Nuremberg Trials against Ukrainian nationalists had been falsified, ITAR-TASS reports.

He stated that the USSR was trying to press on Western allies to recognize members of the Bandera gang and others as killers. The diplomat urged everyone to refrain from making generalizations about modern Ukraine and depiction of people in West Ukraine as Nazis and Bandera activists. He said the same words about the Freedom Party.
