Increase of Iranian gas exports to be discussed in Azerbaijan

High-ranking Iranian officials will discuss increasing gas exports up to 5 million cubic metres per day to Azerbaijan, Iran News reports. By the end of the holy month of Ramadan an Iranian delegation will have arrived in Azerbaijan to discuss the issue, Iranian deputy minister of oil industry Javad Odji said.

He said that their policy in the sphere is based on buying gas and selling to consumers. They have the capability to transport gas to Nakhchyvan only with Azerbaijan. The gas capacity will be increased in the first stage to 2.5 million cubic metres daily and in the second stage to 5 million cubic metres.
