Turkey may support a non-aligned security system in the Caspian region if the country's responsibility is limited to the South Caucasus, member of the International Research Centre for South Caucasus, Hasan Selim Ozertem, and coordinator of the International Research Centre for Peace in Middle East, Kaan Dilek, told Vestnik Kavkaza.

According to Oserte, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Russia can indeed develop a plan for possible trilateral cooperation in the South Caucasus in the sphere of security. The whole Caspian region is a very complicated system and Turkey would not feel comfortable if it was obliged to act further afield, the expert says.
