Sochi opens 9th Winter Paralympic Games

The Fisht Stadium in Sochi will open the 9th Winter Paralympic Games today. 45 countries will compete for 72 sets of medals for 9 days, ITAR-TASS reports.

There will be five types of sports: sledge hockey, wheelchair curling, skiing, snowboarding, biathlon.

41-year-old Russian skier Valery Redkozubov will bear the Russian banner. The Games will start at 7.00PM.
