USS George Bush arrives in Antalya

The U.S. aircraft carrier "George Bush" has arrived in the Turkish port of Antalya.

The carrier's visit has been scheduled. "Its visit is aimed at increasing efforts to ensure maritime security with our partners," emphasizes the U.S. Navy, NEWS.am reports.

In addition, the missile cruiser Philippine Sea, which is part of the carrier battle group "George Bush," has arrived in another Turkish port, Akzats.

The USS George Bush is the tenth and last U.S. aircraft carrier of the "Nimitz" type. It is named in honor of the 41st U.S. President George H. W. Bush.
