Syrian president visits refugees

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has visited refugees on the Adra outskirts, 20km north-east of Damascus, Interfax reports.According to the UN, about 2.4 million Syrian refugees have settled in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt. Around 140,000 people have died in clashes between the opposition and government forces.
