Yessentuki court orders arrest of Ukrainian nationalist Sashko Bely

The Yessentuki City Court (Stavropol Territory) ordered arrest of Ukrainian nationalist Alexander Muzychko, nicknamed Alexander Bely, RIA Novosti reports.

A criminal case against Muzychko was initiated last week, as stated by spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin. He is charged with banditism and formation of an organized criminal group, basing on an investigation of clashes between militants of Shamil Basayev and Khattab with Pskov airborne troops in Ulus-Kert (Chechnya) in 2000.

Muzychko is accused of torturing at least 20 Russian soldiers. The Ukrainian National Assembly – Ukrainian People’s Self-Defense organization Muzhychko was a member of is suspected of other crimes against Russian soldiers in Chechnya in 1994-2000.
