Gerhardt Schroeder calls Ukraine’ choice between Russia and Europe unfair

German ex-Chancellor Gerhardt Schroeder said at a conference in the Azerbaijani-German Trade Chamber in Baku that escalation of the situation in Crimea and Ukraine as a whole should be prevented, Trend reports.

He noted that the dialogue of Ukraine, Russia and the international society was essential. Schroder insists that the OSCE should be a mediator in the conflict and find a peaceful solution.

The German ex-chancellor added that making Ukraine choose between Russia and Europe was unfair.
