Holding competitions in Crimea is unsafe - Football Federation of Ukraine

First Vice-President of the Football Federation of Ukraine  Anatoly Popov said that the talks about the transition of two Crimean clubs "Tavria " and " Sevastopol" in the Russian championship are not serious.

"We are working on different options. There were unofficial statements that these two teams almost enter in the Russian championship. It is not serious to talk about it. It is virtually impossible to organize,"  he stressed.

"It is possible to get out of the championship of Ukraine, but afterwards it can develop as it did with teams of Transnistria and the South Caucasus. On the other hand, the situation is complicated. It is impossible to hold competitions in Crimea for security reasons" ,  quotes the vice president Sports.ru.

" I spoke with Igor Surkis, and we agreed on the  actions with the Premier League and the" Tavria ": the game between " Tavria" and " Dinamo" will be held at the Olympiysky stadium in Kyiv. As for the other games , if the situation does not improve , they will be held on neutral ground," concluded Popov.
