US hinders efforts to end conflict in Syria – Russia

The Russian Foreign Ministry has commented on closing of the US Embassy and consulates in Syria. The ministry urged the US to demonstrated a more balanced and unbiased approach to Syria and called for a political solution via Geneva talks, ITAR-TASS reports.

The Foreign Ministry added that US actions were contrary to the agreement reached to settle the Syrian crisis according to the Geneva Comminuque (June 30, 2012).
