Georgian prosecutors interrogate Kakha Bendukidze
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaWell-known Georgian businessman and former minister of economy Kakha Bendukidze has been interrogated by the Prosecutor General's Office. Bendukidze is being accused of fraud and embezzlement.
In 2010 the businessman bought the Agricultural University for $5.15 million in order to establish the Free University, aimed at raising well-educated and liberal-minded pro-Western specialists.
The prosecution insists that in fact the university cost at least $35 million.
