No war between Israel and Syria

According to Israeli experts, tensions on the border between Israel and Syria are unlikely to develop into a large-scale military confrontation, despite the statements of President Bashar al-Assad.

The Israeli leadership  tried to convey to Damascus by diplomatic channels that it is not interested in a military confrontation and does not want to be caught up in the Syrian civil war. Nevertheless, it was stressed that any attempts at Israel's sovereignty and strikes on its territory will not go unanswered. The connection between Jerusalem and Damascus likely works via Moscow.

A group of terrorists on March 18 crossed the Israeli-Syrian border and blew up an IDF vehicle, resulting in four Israeli soldiers wounded. The Israeli army in response inflicted night strikes on the positions of the Syrian army on Wednesday, the Syrian media report that one Syrian soldier was killed and seven wounded.
