Putin: Russia has always stood for the central role of the UN in world affairs

Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon confirmed that Russia has always advocated the UN's central role in world affairs.

"Our country was one of the founders of the United Nations, and we constantly and consistently supported the central role of the UN in international affairs and we appreciate your efforts in resolving the existing crisis in the world, this is a positive and very effective role ," said Putin cited by ITAR-TASS.
