Expert examining body of Georgia’s Zhvania detained for negligence

Levan Chachua, a medical expert examining the body of Georgian ex-Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and Raul Yusupov, was detained last night for negligence, Trend reports.

Zhvania and Yusupov were found dead on February 3, 2005.

The expert did not give a full description of injuries found on the bodies. Prosecutors say that investigators will need to exhume the bodies. Chachua may get 3 years of prison. He was questioned for 10 hours and then released, only to be detained again an hour later.
