EU to reduce dependence on Russian gas

President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy said that EU countries will reduce dependence on Russian energy resources. The European Commission will present a related plan in June, Kommersant reports.

British PM David Cameron proposed imports of shale gas from the US. The European Council plans to consider other sources of energy, including renewable sources, nuclear energy and coal.
