McFaul urges isolation of Russia

US ex-Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul said that the US should use harsh measures to isolate Russia, RIA Novosti reports.The New York Times posted an article of McFaul entitled “Confronting Putin’s Russia.” In his words, the White House does not have the same moral superiority it used to in the Cold War when confronting modern Russia. McFaul sees annexation of Crimea as a new-level Cold War.Besides isolating Russia, the diplomat proposed the deployment of more NATO forces on the territories of Russian neighbours.
