Kovitidi becomes second Crimean senator in Russia

Crimean Vice Prime Minister Olga Kovitidi has been appointed as the senator at the Federation Council of Russia at a session of the local parliament today, RIA Novosti reports.

Vice Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Sergey Tsekov was appointed as the first senator of the peninsula at the Federation Council.
