Kazakh and Kyrgyz presidents meet
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaKazakh and Kyrgyz Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Almazbek Atambayev have met in the former Kazakh capital of Almaty, Trend reports.
They discussed the development of trade-economic, investment, hydro energy and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, progress of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz investment fund, integration of the Eurasian space, as well as security in the region.
Nazarbayev emphasized the importance of such meetings and their role in stimulating economic cooperation. He reminded that the trade turnover had increased by 41%, compared with the volume in 2011, and exceeded $1 billion. Nazarbayev added that Kazkahstan had invested over $1 billion. The Kazakh leader reminded about the upcoming session of the interstate commission and the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Atambayev thanked Nazarbayev for the meeting and emphasized that Kazakhstan was the leading Central Asian state, in terms of enforcing peace and stability and socio-economic stability.
