Iran slams desecration of Ar-Raqqah shrines in Syria

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has spoken out against profanity of shrines in Ar-Raqqah (Syria). According to Iranian mass media, salafi militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant organized two blasts at the Ammar Bin Yasir Mosque as an act against the Shiite branch of Islam, Trend reports.Iran urged the Un and the OIC to react to the violation of the international law.Spokeswoman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Marzieh Afkham called the international reaction an important factor to protect the religious and cultural heritage.
