Spring draft announced in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the decree to start the spring draft for military service (April 1 – July 15, 2014), RIA Novosti reports.154,000 people aged 18-27 will start military service this year. 153,200 started military service in the spring draft of 2013. The president signed the decree for the demobilization of soldiers, sailors and sergeants whose terms of service were expiring.
