Counter-terrorism operation starts in Kharkov

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has announced the start of a counter-terrorism operation in Kharkov, ITAR-TASS reports.

Additional forces were sent to the east of the country.

A group of activists expressed non-confidence in members of the Kharkov Oblast Council. They read out a list of self-proclaimed members of the Council. The activists have already proclaimed the independent Kharkov People’s Republic.
