Iran calls Western sanctions failure

Major-General Atollah Salehi, one of the highest commanders of the Iranian Armed Forces, said in Tehran that foreign sanctions against the Islamic Republic had failed to achieve anything, Trend reports.

He noted the importance of strengthening the defense potential of the country and added that Iranian Armed Forces were ready for any threats. Iranian officials have been noting progress in national defenses in the past years.
