Yevkurov: national cultural and historical traditions should be preserved

The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has had a meeting with the Minister of Culture of Ingushetia, Maret Gadzieva.

Gazdieva said that major efforts of the ministry are directed at maintaining and developing the national culture, reviving old customs and traditions of the ethnic art, organizing cultural and popular events for people as well as preserving historical and architectural heritage.

A number of festive events dedicated to important dates in the history of Ingushetia and Russia have been held, as well as professional holidays. In addition, the Ministry of Culture has prepared programs of youth patriotic education, exhibitions and competitions. 

Yevkurov asked Gadzieva to pay more attention to the development of local cultural centers.
