More than 100 thousand young stellate sturgeons were put in the waters of the Caspian Sea by the fish breeders of the Atyrau fish breeding plant in western Kazakhstan, Interfax cites the director of the plant, Rashiden Kalidullin.

"We used to put the young fish in the river Ural as they only weighed 3-5 grams, but now we put them straight into the sea, as they weigh about 20 grams," said the specialist.
